A1 - Coelho, Maria da Glória Silva N2 - Este trabalho de projeto é um esforço de compreensão dos benefícios da articulação da Inteligência Emocional com a Supervisão Pedagógica, dando especial ênfase à autorreflexão, autoconhecimento e à autoconsciência, competências essenciais da atividade supervisiva e presente na prática docente. Neste contexto, definimos os seguintes objetivos: contribuir para o reconhecimento da importância da Inteligência Emocional no ato supervisivo, bem como descrever as perceções dos docentes sobre Inteligência Emocional e o desempenho do Supervisor. Optando por uma metodologia qualitativa, e apoiando-nos na consulta de literatura especializada sobre o tema, genericamente chegamos à conclusão que o desenvolvimento da Inteligência Emocional configura-se como essencial para os indivíduos participantes desta investigação. Os docentes entrevistados ressaltam a importância da Inteligência Emocional no desempenho da função de supervisor pedagógico, reconhecendo a necessidade de contemplar, na formação docente, esta dimensão, nomeadamente, ao nível da aquisição de competências emocionais. Consideram, ainda, que tal terá certamente impacto na melhoria da qualidade das aprendizagens dos alunos ABSTRACT This research project is an effort to understand the benefits of joint Emotional Intelligence with Supervision, with special emphasis on selfreflection,self-knowledge and self-awareness, core competencies and supervision activity present in the teaching practice. In this context, we define the following objectives: to contribute to the recognition of the importance of Emotional Intelligence in the act of supervision and describe the perceptions of the teachers on Emotional Intelligence and Performance Supervisor. Opting for a qualitative methodology, and supporting us in consultation literature on the subject, generally we come to the conclusion that the development of Emotional Intelligence appears as essential for individuals participating in this research. The faculty respondents emphasize the importance of Emotional Intelligence in performing the task of supervising teaching, recognizing the need to contemplate, in teacher training, this dimension, particularly in terms of acquisition of emotional skills.
