Que tendências irão nortear a educação nos próximos anos? – Estudo Exploratório

Abstract

A presente investigação tem como objetivo conhecer as tendências que vão influenciar o futuro da educação. Considerando que, para o exercício consciente e responsável da atividade docente, é determinante o conhecimento, não pretendemos no presente projeto “prever o futuro” mas sim antecipá-lo, segundo as orientações de um estudo prospetivo. Sendo certo que o futuro da educação começa a ser traçado no presente consideramos que para melhor poder planear é importante conhecer as mudanças e os desafios com que a escola se vai deparar no seu futuro, designadamente a influência da globalização e da demografia, o perfil de docentes e de alunos e a liberdade de escolha de escola, as questões relacionadas com o cheque – ensino e o "mercado educativo", o impacto das tecnologias da informação e comunicação, entre outras. Relativamente á metodologia de investigação adotada no presente estudo, esta apoia-se na análise documental e na realização de entrevistas exploratórias a alguns dirigentes educativos. Através desta, podemos constatar que, algumas das tendências sugeridas pelas leituras, ja se manifestam nos concelhos em estudo, nomeadamente: o envelhecimento populacional, o envelhecimento docente, redução no número de alunos, etc. Do presente estudo, surgem um conjunto de sugestões que decorrem das implicações possíveis das tendências que vão influenciar o futuro da escola.

This research aims to know the trends that will influence the future of education. Whereas for the exercise conscious and responsible of the teaching activity, is crucial knowledge, we do not intend in this project "predict the future" but anticipate it, along the lines of a prospective study. It is certain that the future of education begins to be drawn in this regard that in order to better plan is important to know the changes and challenges that the school will face in their future, in particular the influence of globalization and demographics, the profile teachers and students and the freedom of school choice, the issues related to the check - education and "education market", the impact of information and communication technologies, among others. For research methodology adopted in this study, this relies on documentary analysis and conducting exploratory interviews with some educational leaders. Through this, we note that some of the trends suggested by the readings, already manifest in the municipalities under study, namely: population aging, the aging teaching, reduction in the number of students, etc. In the present study, there was a set of suggestions concerning trends that will influence the future of the school.
