Leituras iluminadas: a promoção da leitura através da ilustração

Abstract

O projeto “Leituras Iluminadas: a promoção da leitura através da ilustração” visa a promoção da leitura através da exploração (do texto e da imagem) consciencializando conhecimentos, em diversas áreas do saber, através da criação de produções plásticas. Considerando que uma boa leitura depende da compreensão do leitor, torna-se necessário construir um caminho que leve a criança à exploração e interpretação da informação contida nas suas leituras. Deste modo, a ilustração conquistou um vasto território, na atualidade, sendo fundamental que se percecione esta nova forma de ilustrar, para que as leituras sejam mais ricas e proporcionem um maior conhecimento nos leitores. Com a intenção de suscitar o gosto pela leitura, o presente projeto propôs um conjunto de momentos, debruçando-se numa exploração verbal e visual que culminaram com atividades plásticas. Estas atividades desenvolvem na criança estímulos variados que poderão facilitar uma fluidez de pensamento, estimulando a comunicação visual e a sensibilidade estética (Fróis, 2000). Também o desenvolvimento desta vertente educacional suscita na criança um novo olhar, orientando uma nova forma de ler e extrair informação que estas possam conter. A leitura de um livro já não se prende unicamente com a descodificação do significado das palavras, mas também da interpretação das ilustrações. Também a ilustração é detentora de uma linguagem própria, a linguagem gráfica. Toda esta dimensão visual apresenta uma nova narrativa dentro do livro infantil, o que estimula a atenção das crianças na busca de pistas para a interpretação global da obra, procurando apelar diretamente ao leitor. The project "Enlightened reading: the promotion of reading through illustrating", aims to promote reading through the exploitation (text and image) and becoming aware of knowledge in several areas through the creation of handmade products. Whereas a good read depends on the reader's understanding, it becomes necessary to build a path that leads to child exploitation and interpretation of information contained in their readings. Thus, the illustration conquered a vast territory nowadays, it is essential that this new way of illustration is conceived, that the readings are richer and provide a greater knowledge on the readers. With the intent to arouse interest in reading, this project proposed a set of moments, leaning on verbal and visual activities that culminated in handwork. These activities develop in the child various stimuli that may promote a fluidity of thought, stimulating visual communication and aesthetic sensibility (Frois, 2000). Also the development of this aspect of education raises on the child a new look, guiding a new way to read and extract information they might contain. Reading a book has not only to do with decoding the meaning of words, but also the interpretation of the illustrations. Also the illustration holds its own language, a graphic language. All this visual dimension, presents a new narrative in the children's book, which stimulates the children's attention in the search for clues to the overall interpretation of the work, seeking to appeal directly to the reader.
