Crianças sobredotadas: representações sobre as relações com os pares etários e em características

Abstract

Nos dias de hoje, o interesse na problemática da sobredotação tem aumentado na sociedade, resultando em parte do esforço da comunidade científica, a par de alguns projetos específicos de investigação na área. Este estudo tem como principal objetivo analisar as representações das crianças sobredotadas sobre as relações estabelecidas com os pares etários e em características. Para desenvolver a investigação escolheu-se a metodologia qualitativa, com recurso à técnica de entrevista semiestruturada. Assim, partindo do testemunho, na primeira pessoa, de crianças sobredotadas e da análise de conteúdo de sete entrevistas, destaca-se que as relações que as crianças sobredotadas estabelecem com os pares são determinadas por vários fatores, notando-se diferenças nas relações que se desenvolvem nos distintos contextos em estudo. Comparando as interações estabelecidas com os pares no recreio e no convívio no Projeto Investir na Capacidade, conclui-se que o tipo de relação estabelecida com os pares na escola, o tempo de permanência da criança no Projeto Investir na Capacidade, assim como a periodicidade semanal das atividades promovidas pelo Projeto influenciam a forma com as crianças sobredotadas vivenciam o convívio com os seus pares em características, que integram o Projeto. Deste modo, enquanto umas crianças sobredotadas consideraram o convívio com os pares em características no Projeto bom, outras, por estabelecerem com os seus companheiros de escola uma relação caracterizada por uma forte união, afirmaram não se sentirem tão próximas, como dos colegas de turma, dos pares em características com os quais interagem no Projeto. Todas as crianças sobredotadas demonstraram ter uma boa perceção sobre as suas relações com os pares, assim como expectativas bem claras do que esperam de uma amizade.Nowadays, interest in the issue of giftedness has increased in society, resulting in part from the effort of the scientific community, along with some specific research projects in the area. The main objective of this study is to analyze the representation of gifted children on relationships established with age peers and characteristical peers. For this investigation, a qualitative methodology based on semi-structured interviews was adopted. Thus, based on the first person testimony of gifted children and the analysis of seven interviews, we have realized that relationships established by gifted children with their peers are determined by several factors, noting differences in relationships developing in different contexts under study. Comparing the interactions established with peers on the playground and in the Projeto Investir na Capacidade, we have concluded that the type of relationship established with peers at school, the length of the stay of children in Projeto Investir na Capacidade, as well as weekly activities promoted by the Project influence the way gifted children experience socialization with their characteristical peers integrating the Project. While some gifted children considered socializing with their characteristical peers under certain factors determined by the Project, good, others, for having established strong, union based relationships with their classmates, said they did not feel as close to their characteristical peers with whom they would interact in the Project as they felt to their classmates. All gifted children were found to have a good perception about their relationships with peers, as well as very clear expectations of what to expect from a friendship.
