Insucesso Escolar Prevenção e Intervenção na Educação Pré-Escolar e no 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico

Abstract

O conceito de insucesso escolar é bastante complexo e relativo, uma vez que o seu estudo apresenta uma enorme polissemia no que diz respeito à sua definição dentro da comunidade de investigadores e pedagogos. De um modo geral, designa-se de insucesso escolar quando a criança/aluno não atinge os objetivos de escolaridade propostos referentes à sua idade e ano de escolaridade. Desta forma, o presente trabalho de investigação teve como objetivo identificar estratégias de prevenção e intervenção do insucesso escolar. Para além de tentar perceber quais os agentes e fatores originadores do mesmo. Neste sentido, foi possível contar com a participação de 11 educadores de infância e professores do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. A quem foi aplicado um inquérito por questionário de carácter quantitativo e qualitativo, com o objetivo de perceber os vários pontos de vista tanto dos educadores de infância como dos professores do 1º CEB face ao insucesso escolar. Assim, na análise de dados, os profissionais de educação acreditam que é possível prevenir o insucesso escolar na Educação Pré-Escolar e dar continuidade no 1º CEB. Ao longo da análise podemos constatar que existem aspetos em que os educadores e professores do 1º ciclo do ensino básico estão de acordo, tal como nos fatores causadores do insucesso escolar e nas medidas a serem implementadas para atuar contra o mesmo. No entanto, os profissionais de educação pontos de vista diferentes no que diz respeito à relação entre os documentos orientadores e o insucesso escolar, bem como nos comportamentos que as crianças podem demonstrar quando têm dificuldades

The concept of school failure is quite complex and relative, once that the study of it represents an enormous polysemy in the meaning of school failure by the community of researchers and pedagogues. In general it’s called school failure when a child/student can’t achieve the proposed educational goals, related to his age or year. In this way, the present work of investigation had as objective the identification of prevention strategies and intervention in school failure. In addition to trying to understand which are the agentes and factors that are in the origin of it. This way, was possible to count with the participation of 11 childhood educators and teachers. To the group of work was given an quantitative and qualitative inquiry with the objective to understand the several points of view of the respondents regarding school failure. So, in the analyses of data, the education professionals believe that it is possible to prevent the school failure in the Pre-school education such as in the 1st CEB. Through the analysis we can verify that there are subjects where the educators and teachers are in agreement, such as the causative factors of the school failure and it solutions. However, the educational professionals have different points of views regarding to the relationship between the guiding documents and school failure, as well as the behaviors that children can show when they have difficulties
