Cidadania da infância: a participação da criança no contexto educativo (JI e 1º CEB) e na família

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio, realizado no âmbito do Mestrado de Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, apresenta um trabalho investigativo envolvendo duas instituições educativas: uma de Educação Pré-Escolar situada no distrito de Braga e uma de 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, situada no distrito do Porto. Neste estudo participaram 27 encarregados de educação do Pré-Escolar, a educadora e as crianças. No que concerne ao 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico participaram 20 alunos. A temática da cidadania da infância, a importância da participação da criança no contexto educativo e na família, bem como da família na escola, tem sido o enfoque de vários investigadores, mostrando-se que esta relação traz benefícios para o desenvolvimento da criança. Assim, nos dois contextos de ensino supervisionados tentou-se perceber de que forma são vistos, pelos agentes educativos, os benefícios da participação no desenvolvimento da criança. Optou-se então por uma metodologia mista, de natureza quantitativa e qualitativa. À educadora colocou-se uma entrevista. Aos encarregados de educação do pré-escolar e aos alunos do 1º CEB um inquérito por questionário. Para lá destes instrumentos mobilizaram-se registos de observação da prática, bem como atividades do estágio. Desta forma, através dos resultados obtidos foi possível constatar que há conexão entre a componente teórica e a componente prática da investigação, na qual se verifica que todos os agentes educativos valorizam a importância da participação que é estabelecida entre as crianças, instituições e as famílias, e que existe entre os profissionais de educação e os Encarregados de Educação, uma perceção de que a participação da criança é importante.

This internship report, carried out within the Master's Degree Program in Pre-school and primary Education, presents an investigative work involving two institutions directed to Pre-School Education located in the district of Braga and the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, situated in the district of Porto. In this study 27 pre-school teachers, the educator and the children participated. With regard to 1st year of Basic Education, 20 students participated. The issue of childhood citizenship, the importance of children's participation in the educational context and in the family, as well as the family at school, has been the focus of several researchers, showing that this relationship brings benefits to the development of the child. Thus, in the two contexts of supervised teaching, we tried to understand how the educational agents see the benefits of participation in the development of the child. We then chose a mixed methodology, of a quantitative and qualitative nature. The teacher was interviewed. A questionnaire survey was sent to the pre-schoolers and students of the 1st CEB. Thus, through the results obtained, it was possible to verify that there is a connection between the theoretical component and the practical component of the research, in which it is verified that all educational agents value the importance of participation that is established among children, institutions and families. That there exists between education professionals and those in charge of education a perception that the participation of the child is important.
