A Importância das Artes Visuais no 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico

Abstract

O presente relatório, intitulado “A Importância das Artes Visuais no 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico” procura demonstrar a importância das Artes Visuais no processo de ensino aprendizagem dos alunos de 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, compreendendo a valorização que é dada a esta área. Entende-se que as Artes Visuais proporcionam momentos lúdicos e a diversificação de materiais e recursos, motivando os alunos, e tornando-os mais disponíveis e interessados para a aprendizagem, desenvolvendo em simultâneo, competências como a autonomia, a responsabilidade, o espírito crítico e a participação ativa. Tendo em conta estas perspetivas, desenhamos um conjunto de objetivos, dos quais salientamos: compreender a importância das Artes Visuais no 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, verificar se as Artes Visuais potenciam o processo de ensino aprendizagem, assim como, o desenvolvimento holístico do aluno, compreender se as metodologias pedagógicas influenciam a prática da interdisciplinaridade das Artes Visuais com outras áreas curriculares e perceber se o aluno é sujeito ativo no processo de aprendizagem das Artes Visuais. Assim, procuramos recolher dados através de uma metodologia qualitativa, que resultaram de entrevistas semiestruturadas a professores do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e da análise documental. Em suma, as conclusões do presente estudo revelaram que empregar as Artes Visuais como recurso à aprendizagem, através de uma abordagem interdisciplinar, além de permitirem o desenvolvimento de competências transversais nos alunos, motiva os mesmos para a aprendizagem

The present report, entitled "The Importance of Visual Arts in Primary Education", aims to demonstrate the importance of the Visual Arts in the teaching process of students in the Primary Education, including the appreciation that is given to this area. It is understood that the Visual Arts provide recreational moments and the diversification of materials and resources, motivating the students, and making them more available and interested in learning, while simultaneously developing skills such as autonomy, responsibility, critical thinking and active participation. Taking into account these perspectives, we have outlined a set of objectives, including: understanding the importance of Visual Arts in the Primary Education, verifying if Visual Arts enhance the teaching-learning process, as well as the holistic development of the student, to understand if the pedagogical methodologies influence the practice of the interdisciplinarity of Visual Arts with other curricular areas and comprehending if the student is an active subject in the process of learning Visual Arts. Thus, we seek to collect data through a qualitative methodology, which resulted from semi-structured interviews to teachers of the Primary Education and the documentary analysis. In sum, the findings of the present study revealed that using the Visual Arts as a resource for learning through an interdisciplinary approach, besides allowing the development of transversal competences in students, motivates them to learn.
