In the context of initial teacher training, new guidelines have been issued in order to regulate the distribution of teacher training into components of different intentions (Formosinho and Niza, 2001), although complementary. These guidelines implied a (re) organization of supervised teaching practice (STP), which until then had contemplated considerable heterogeneity. The curricular organization of a study plan should aim at the professional development of future teachers, in this case, the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, inseparable from the promotion of an investigative, critical and reflexive attitude. Through this communication proposal, we will focus on how it has been possible to articulate the formative process (experienced during the traineeship) with the reflexive path inherent to the teacher’s professional development (Korthagen, 2010). Ultimately, we intend to present the result of an exploratory research, of qualitative nature, supported by the construction of reflexive narratives, within the scope of the masters course in Pre-School Education and Teaching in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, and whose main purpose was to identify the topics that most interest students and those that are most valued in the teaching activity. Hence, the institutional supervision team recommends that the last production of the traineeship be the students’ reflection on a theme of their choice; in this context, it was our intention to understand the motivations that lead each student (in this case, ten students) to choose the theme to be developed as the last reflection of their supervised practice. From the analysis of the research results, we will highlight three major areas presented in the reflective exercise, namely: concrete situations of the traineeship which are connected to their practices in the classroom, pedagogical innovation associated with the seminars of supervised teaching practice, as well as interest tendencies in the construction of their teaching professionality, in particular, inclusive education, and also the research resulting from the traineeship report. KEY-WORDS: 1st Cycle of Basic Education teacher training; professional teacher development; investigative practices.
