Importância das interações avós-netos no jardim de infância

Abstract

O presente relatório aborda a temática da importância das interações entre crianças e avós, apresentando uma análise e enquadramento na sociedade contemporânea do papel dos avós na educação dos seus netos na esfera do JI . A investigação realizada teve como objetivos principais caraterizar o papel dos avós na sociedade atual, compreender as vantagens que advêm da participação dos avós no dia-a-dia da criança, identificar e promover práticas que permitam envolver os avós nas dinâmicas no JI e concluir com uma análise da perceção da criança relativamente ao envolvimento dos avós na sua vida escolar. Toda a investigação decorreu na valência Pré-Escolar totalizando uma participação de vinte crianças. As atividades desenvolvidas no contexto deste estudo foram diversificadas de modo que permitissem uma intervenção positiva dos avós na educação dos seus netos, abrangendo a maior quantidade possível de participantes. O presente estudo foi sustentado em dados qualitativos, recolhidos através de entrevistas semiestruturadas a educadoras de infância e avós e grupo focais com o grupo de crianças participantes na pesquisa. A apresentação dos dados recolhidos, seguida da sua análise e triangulação levou às conclusões que culminaram na identificação de estratégias e obstáculos, relacionados com a interação das avós no JI. Concluiu-se que esta temática é cada vez mais atual e que requer da parte do JI e dos educadores em particular, uma atenção às idiossincrasias dos avós e ao cuidado a ter na adequação da linguagem comunicacional com os mesmos e respeito pelas suas fragilidades e graus de literacia. Constatou-se neste estudo de caso que é com os avós que as crianças passam a maior parte do seu tempo. Através da participação dos avós nas dinâmicas criadas no JI, estes sentiram-se valorizados e reconhecidos nas suas competências e fortaleceram os laços de afeto e carinho com os netos. Salientou ainda a necessidade de as instituições educativas convocarem os avós a participar deforma regular, e não se restringir aos momentos festivos que acontecem ao longo do ano no JI. A participação dos avós nas dinâmicas educativas fomentou a partilha de experiências e saberes, a aprendizagem de valores como o respeito e união familiar e revelou que os avós são um porto abrigo securizante na vida das crianças.

This report addresses the importance of interactions between children and grandparents, presenting an analysis and framing in contemporary society of the role of grandparents in the education of their grandchildren in the sphere of JI. The main objectives of the research were to characterize the role of grandparents in today´s society, to understand the advantages that come from the participation of grandparents in the child´s daily life, to identify and promote practices that allow the involvement of grandparents in the dynamics in JI and to conclude with an analysis of the child´s perception of the involvement of grandparents in their school life. All the research took place in the Pre-School valence, totaling a participation of twenty children. The activities developed in the context of this study were diversified to allow a positive intervention of grandparents in the education of their grandchildren, covering the largest possible number of participants. The present study was based on qualitative data, collected through semi-structured interviews with kindergarten teachers and grandparents and focus groups with the group of children participating in the research. The presentation of the collected data, followed by its analysis and triangulation led to the conclusions that culminated in the identification of strategies and obstacles related to the interaction of grandmothers in the JI. It was concluded that this theme is increasingly current and that it requires from the JI and educators in particular, attention to the idiosyncrasies of grandparents and the care to be taken in the adequacy of the communicational language with them and respect for their weaknesses and degrees of literacy. It was found in this case study that it is with grandparents that children spend most of their time. Trought the participation of grandparents in the dynamics created in the JI, they felt valued and recognized in their skills and strengthened the bonds of affection and affection with their grandchildren. He also stressed the need for educational institutions to call on grandparents to participate regularly and not be restricted to the festive moments that take place throughout the year in the JI. The participation of grandparents in the educational dynamics fostered the sharing of experiences and knowledge, the learning of value such as respect and family unity and revealed that grandparents are a safe haven in the lives of children.
